Privacy Statement

Tripos International (Tripos) respects user privacy and is committed to protecting personal user information proficed to Tripos. The following statement explains Tripos' policies and practices regarding the use and disclosure of personal user information by Tripos. Please note that Tripos reviews and updates this Privacy Policy periodically, as needed, without notice. Therefore, users should review the terms of this policy periodically to make certianin they are aware of how Tripos collects and uses personal information. By using the Tripos web site, users consent to the collection and use of their personal information by Tripos as explained below.

1. Personal Information. User has complete control over their personal information. In general, user can visit the Tripos web site without providing any personal information. However, there are instances where Tripos must obtain personal user information in order to grant access to our protected and secured sites. This information may include registration data (user name, address, email address, phone number, title, etc.), information request data, and response data ("User Information"). When users receive confirmation email or when they receive any email from the Tripos list server, user will be provided with instruction on how to remove user name from the Tripos list.

2. Use of User Information. Tripos intends to use such information for purposes of supporting user and their employer's relationship with Tripos by designing web site content that is suitable for user needs and to alert user to new product/service offerings as they become available. This User Information may be retained by Tripos to verify compliance with the agreement between Tripos and user's employer, to keep track of domains from which people visit, to create a user profile in order to better serve user and user's employer, or to simply contact user electronically or through other methods. If user decides that Tripos should not exploit personal User Information for contact, it is the user's responsibility to inform Tripos, and the company will cease to use that information for such purposes. Please do not submit User Information to Tripos if you are under 18 years of age.

3. Disclosure of User Information. Tripos does not sell, trade, or transfer User Information to third parties. However, Tripos may share User Information with business partners for marketing, advertising, or product/service offering purposes. For example, Tripos may provide User Information to select service providers for direct email distribution of newsletters, on-line surveys, or notification to viewers. Tripos will disclose User Information if: Tripos has user consent; if Tripos needs to share it in order to provide user with requested products/services they request; if Tripos has to respond to a court order, if user violates Tripos' Terms of Use. User may separately agree to provide personal information to third parties including Tripos partners in order to access and/or use their products and/or services. If users agree to provide such information to third parties, then user personal information will be subject to third party privacy policies.

4. Accuracy and Security. The accuracy and security of User Information is important to Tripos. User may review and request updates to their User Information as retained by Tripos. If user contacts Tripos to correct their User Information, Tripos will attempt to correct inaccuracies in a timely manner. Tripos is concerned with the security of viewer User Information and is committed to taking reasonable steps to protect it from unauthorized access and use. Tripos has put appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial policies and procedures in place to secure personal User Information. The Company continues to implement procedures to maintain accurate, complete and current User Information.

5. Usernames and Passwords. Access to certain content on Tripos' web site may be allowed under written agreement between user and the user's employer and Tripos and will require a username and/or password. In some cases, failure to provide personal information may prevent the user from accessing certain Tripos web site(s) that may contain confidential information, products, services, or promotional offers. By accessing and using Tripos' protected and secured web site(s), the user agrees to maintain the confidentiality of the username and password they selected to access such site(s) , and they consent to Tripos Special Terms of Use.

6. Cookies. Tripos may use "cookies". A cookie is a small data file that a web site can transfer to a visitor's hard drive to keep records of the visits to such site. A cookie contains information such as username and password that assiste Tripos in recognizing pages viewers visit to enhance future visits. The personal information a cookie can contain is the information that the user provides. A cookie cannot read data from a viewer's hard drive or read cookie files created by other sites. Information stored in cookies may be encrypted, however, Tripos does not store credit card numbers in cookies. If the user prefers not to accept a cookie, they can set their web browser (Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, Mozilla, etc.) to warn them prior to accepting cookies, or users have the option to refuse all cookies by turning them off in their web browser. Access to Tripos' secured web site(s) requires the use of per-session cookies in Microsoft Internet Explorer in which user must enable only the cookies forwarded back to the originating server. Users can still access most of the features on the Tripos web site without accepting a cookie.

7. External Links. The Tripos web site may provide links to other third party web sites. Trips is not responsible for the privacy policies, or practices, or the contents contained in the links of its third-party affiliates. These links are provided for user convenience only and are accessed at user risk.

8. Terms of Use. Refer to Special Terms of Use, which describe restrictions, disclaimers, indemnification, and limitation of liability governing the use of the entire Tripos web site.
